Intellectual Property Rights in India give protection to the owner of a registered Intellectual Property i.e. Trademark, copyright, Design Patent etc. by assuring the holder of such Intellectual Property with the exclusive rights to use a particular intellectual Right. The Trademark Act, 1999 is a weapon for the registered proprietor to stop the others from illegal use of the registered trademark.
